How event attendance works on Projob

At Projob events, the organizers do the scanning. Participants only show their code; nobody has to scan anything themselves.

Codes the scanner accepts

  • Check-in code — the QR in the registration confirmation email and on the My Events page.
  • Projob ID — the QR on the name tag or on the participant's public profile.

If the camera cannot be used, the desk can type the check-in code (32 characters) or the Projob ID by hand.

Where attendance is recorded

  • Venue entrance — present at the event as a whole.
  • Per session — present at one particular session. A session scan also marks the person present at the event, so someone who walks straight into a session room does not need a second scan.

Free events

  • Registered participants: scanned and recorded as present.
  • Projob members who did not register: registered on the spot when their Projob ID is scanned — if the organizer turned on Accept Projob members on the spot.
  • People without a Projob account: write their name, email and phone at the desk and are recorded as guests — if the organizer turned on Accept guests without an account.

Paid events

Only participants who registered and paid can enter. There are no on-the-spot registrations and no guests. Anyone not registered is asked to register and pay on Projob first.

Certificates

  • Registered participants who attended receive a certificate if the event issues certificates.
  • Guests receive one only when all three hold: the organizer turned on Guests can receive a certificate, the guest gave both an email and a phone number, and that email belongs to a Projob account.
  • At a paid event, anyone not registered receives no certificate.

Who can scan

The event organizer in the Employer or Partner portal, and the Projob admin team. Organizers can hand a scanner link + PIN to desk volunteers, who do not need a Projob account. See the desk volunteer guide.
